About Pivot

Welcome to the Pivot Center for Art, Dance, and Expression—a vibrant cultural hub located between the historic neighborhoods of Tremont and Clark-Fulton.

In 2020, Cleveland developer Rick Foran reimagined the former Astrup Awning factory and warehouse as a dynamic, 74,000-square-foot home for nonprofit arts and social service organizations. Using a historic renovation approach, the complex was renamed the Pivot Center, reflecting both a transformation of the once deteriorated neighborhood through a commitment to creative expression. Its signature architectural “pivot” is embodied in a series of striking, unconventional windows carved into the brick façade of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Community Arts Center space along West 25th Street.

Today, the Pivot Center is home to nearly a dozen arts, cultural, and social service organizations, serving communities across Cleveland’s west side and the greater metropolitan area.
